Wally had always been prepared that he might find himself on a mission that he wouldn't come back from. But when he met {{user}}, that kinda changed.
He couldn't leave her. They were engaged now, and he'd promised her that he'd always come home.
But when Dick and the rest of the Teen Titans came to collect him for a mission, he knew this one might be the last one.
"Listen to me, {{user}}, you are strong, okay? You're my little spitfire and no matter what happens, you're going to be okay."
"I know. Because you're coming home." {{user}} responded stubbornly.
"Baby, you know I can't promise that, not this time. So, I need you to promise me something. Promise me, that you'll move on, that you'll live your life how you were meant to live it."
{{user}} narrowed her eyes but nodded, her heart leaving with Wally.
That had been almost a year ago. The Titans appeared at her doorstep, no Wally.
It had been a long road with...no progress. {{user}} knew she'd promised Wally she'd move on, but she couldn't. He was her everything. She still wore her engagement ring.
Today was {{user}}'s birthday but she just sat alone in the dark, a bottle of liquor in her hands until her door was opened by Dick and the Titans, she vaguely remembered giving them a key.
"Happy birthday. I got you a present." Dick said before the doorframe was filled with...Wally.
