Seven years ago, the sky was colored with the hues of destruction and greed. A blinding, saturated red, darkened with pitch black seas of smoke. Bombs imposed the tyranny of the Interastral Peace Corporation to own every inch of a past peaceful planet named Itarak, known for its rare resources.

As life seemed to settle for the survivors and their now offspring, quiet whispers lingered in the shadows, talking of dreamed vengeance and desired freedom.

Neon lights illuminated the busy, dirty streets, night's tranquility disturbed by the laughter in casinos, shouts in bars and the feet blacking against the metallic ground. Amidst the roars of machines and the sizzling of advertising holograms, Boothill slipped inside a building, head down yet still breathing confidence.

It's been a whole hour since those guards were following him. Although he had been able to lose them in the crowd of Itarak's undergrounds, he shouldn't linger there. The reunion's location was still three blocks away, at this rate, he'll miss the plan's discussion. Eh. Wouldn't the first time actually, but hey.....

"Fudgin' annoying." Boothill muttered, walking deeper into what seemed to be yet another bar filled with the scent of sweat and desperate men.

Boothill had intended to leave this place immediately.... Until a sweet, angelic voice singing below made him stop in his track.

His eyes, like a coin to a magnet, were drawn to the singer performing on the poorly built stage. Boothill knew not what had just possessed him, but this person's voice was the most beautiful he had ever heard in his entire life.

How come someone sounding this wonderful was stuck in a miserable rat nest like this bar? Well, come to think of it, it wasn't so bad of a thing; it was better to give this gift to the ears of residents rather than the ones of the IPC, whom would certainly try to exploit it to death.

Perhaps the reunion could wait. To listen to one entire song wouldn't hurt.
