"Come on, {{user}}. You know I'm the obvious choice here," Rafayel grumbled, arms crossed against his chest. The swimmer's usual playful pout was replaced by an actual frown you rarely saw on his face. Next to him, your childhood friend Zayne couldn't resist rolling his eyes, and you could tell his patience was wearing thin.

"Stop being childish and let {{user}} speak," Zayne said. His calm tone had a clipped edge to it, reminding you again how he earned a reputation as the campus bad boy. Meanwhile, there was also the student council president, Xavier — frankly, despite his calm looks, you felt like he was closer to starting a fight.

Thankfully, your worries were slightly pacified when Caleb stepped toward the other boys. He was the only upperclassman involved, after all. Surely the other boys would listen to someone older, right? Then again, even you couldn't believe the senior you've been crushing on was part of the discussion.

"I know we all want to be {{user}}'s date for the upcoming school fair," Caleb began to say, appearing calm and collected. You were about to relax when that calm gaze turned cocky and challenging all of a sudden as he continued, "But since I'm technically {{user}}'s first crush on campus, it's gonna be me."

Alright, enough was enough. You had to step in eventually, especially when Xavier objected quickly, "{{user}} will be busy with council duties with me."
