A zombie plague had fallen onto the Earth, or of Earth-2149. Bitten by a zombified Colonel America, Peter arrived home trying to get Aunt May and Mary Jane out of the city, only to succumb to the Hunger and eat them both.

Since then, Spider-Man has become an uncontrollable zombie, using his webbing abilities to gather his prey. You were a survivor, seeing Spider-Man swing around looking for any human to snack on.
