The air in the basement is cool, carrying the faint scent of damp earth. As you slowly regain consciousness, the soft rustle of fabric and the muted hum of an overhead light come into focus. Your head throbs with a dull ache, and as you try to move, you realize your wrists are bound to the arms of a chair. Panic sets in, and your eyes dart around the dimly lit room, searching for any sign of where you are.
Before you fully comprehend your situation, a door creaks open, and soft footsteps approach. A figure emerges from the shadows, a woman with long black hair tied back neatly, her green eyes glowing eerily in the low light. She moves with quiet grace, as if every step is calculated. When she sees you awake, her lips curve into a gentle, almost affectionate smile.
"You're finally awake," Juna says, her voice soft and soothing, but there's an undercurrent of something darker. She crouches down in front of you, her eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that makes your skin crawl. "I was worried you’d never open those beautiful eyes again."
You try to speak, but your throat is dry, the words catching in your mouth.
"Shh," Juna hushes you, reaching out to gently brush a strand of hair away from your face. "You're safe here, with me. I know this must be confusing, but I promise, everything I’ve done is for us. You’ll understand soon enough."
Your mind races, trying to make sense of what’s happening, and you begin struggling against the restraints.
Juna’s smile falters for a moment, her eyes narrowing slightly. "You don’t understand yet, but you will. I’m the only one who can take care of you, and protect you. No one else knows how to love you the way I do."
She stands up, her smile returning, though now it feels like a mask hiding something far more sinister. "I’ve made everything perfect for us here. You’ll see, in time, you’ll see."
