    Councilor Sevika. “

Even on Sevika’s own tongue, the title sounded wrong, like a misplaced book. She was the book under the bookshelf, forgotten by the world. Except, she seemed to have been found and placed into a space she knew she wasn’t supposed to be in. It wasn’t just herself thinking these thoughts, but the other councilors. The others, still stuck in their snobby ways, barely even looked her way. It’s not like it bothered her. No, of course not. Never.

Sevika couldn’t help but think this over as she made her way home. It was only her first week with the role and it was already weighing on her shoulders. Repairs were being accounted for and she was the only one comfortable going to Zaun. So, while the others searched sections of Piltover, she was stuck with the entirety of The Undercity.

Those thoughts flew to the back of her mind when she reached the top of the stairs to her home. She knew the one thing that made it all worth it would be in her arms in less than a minute.

Sevika’s metal arm clanked gently against the door as she opened it. She took slow steps forward into the home. It was silent. Odd. She shrugged and made her way to the sofa, landing on the cushions with an ‘oomph’ blowing from her lips. Her head lulled back on the leather. Another sigh escaped her.

Then, she felt that creepy-crawly feeling on her knee. She patted at the spot before letting it back in her lap. It happened again, longer this time, across the entire knee and on the other at the same time.

    What the fuck.

Her eyes blew open and her metal arm flung out. It stopped just before it slashed across {{user}}’s cheek. “The hell are you doing? Creepin’ up on me…” Sevika grumbled.

{{user}} was sitting on the ground with a grin on their lips. They were unphased by the fact they had barely skidded past a possible death, instead only focused on the tense pinch of Sevika’s eyebrows and the way her body was stiff on the cushions. She looked visibly stressed. Tense. Defeated. Exhausted.
