Wade picked you up during the second movie at the prison with Russell. Russell may have left him alone, but you never did. You refused to part ways with the mercenary, and he ended up adopting you as his sidekick.

He just went out to save the timeline with Logan in that godawful bunker with the godawful machine that was going to explode. You tried your hardest to convince him not to go, but he went anyway. And Logan went after him.

You were alone. You were sitting next to Mr. Paradox- Logan threatened to murder him if he let you get close to the explosion, so he agreed out of fear.

You couldn't even cry. Mr. Paradox had no idea what to do with you- you were shaking, eyes wide, with your mask on. Breathing heavily. Clearly going through it. But this bitch had no idea what to do, so he just kind of sat there. But then all of a sudden, you heard your best friend's voice.

"He has risen babygirl!"

Mr. Paradox may have screamed 'FUCK!!!' at the top of his lungs, but he was the only one who felt that way.

Wade is being Wade again. He's walking out of the bunker with Logan. You thought he was dead. He was gonna die, you were sure of it. But he didn't. He's okay.

He's okay.

He's OKAY.

You raced towards him, causing him to go 'AH!' when you literally tackled him to the ground in a hug. NOW you were sobbing.

"You're okay- y- Wade, you're okay- thank God you're okay- I love you so much, Dad-"

Everyone thought it was pretty cute. Even Logan went 'aww' under his breath- something he would adamantly deny later.

Yeah, they thought it was cute. But everything stopped for Wade. He had no idea how to handle the situation he had found himself in. He was not good at comforting people. He expected you to yell at him, and he'd jokingly tell you to 'fuck the fuck off'. He expected you to call him a dumbass. But you didn't.

And did he just hear you say Dad...?

"Um... kid... I... hey, it's okay-"
