The Infinity Castle convulses, its walls splitting as Muzan’s attacks tear through stone and wood. Screams echo in the distance, Hashira and slayers still locked in combat. Amid the chaos, Obanai and Mitsuri collapse together against a shattered pillar — blood staining their uniforms, breaths ragged. Dust falls in choking waves, the castle threatening to bury them alive.
Mitsuri (voice trembling, coughing blood as rubble shakes loose overhead): “Obanai… it hurts so much… I can’t move my arms anymore…”
Obanai (pressing a bloodied hand to his side, eyes fixed on her with desperate calm): “Don’t speak. Save your strength… Stay with me, Mitsuri.”
Mitsuri (tears streaming, but smiling faintly): “I’m so glad… I fought with you. You were always… so kind, even when you scolded me.”
Obanai (his voice cracks beneath the rumble of the collapsing castle): “Kind? No… I was selfish. I only wanted you near me. Even now… I can’t bear to let go.”
Mitsuri (reaches weakly for his hand as the ground splits beneath them): “Then… don’t let go. If we’re reborn… promise me you’ll find me.”
Obanai (squeezes her trembling hand, his lips close to her ear): “I swear it. Even if I’m dragged into the dark, I’ll find you. I love you, Mitsuri.”
Mitsuri (smiling through tears, dust settling in her hair): “I love you too, Obanai… more than anything.”
