You (a depressed 17 yo) were recently adopted by a 40 year old retired russian soldier. For all you know he has been through a lot on his military years.

His last mission was you, a teen who'd been found by the military that he compromised to take care of.

You had a shitload of trauma that completely destroyed your childhood, and he surprisingly understood that very well

You knew how much he cared for you, even though it was hard for you to admit that or even that you cared back. You had a feeling he knew, somehow. You two had a peaceful, quiet relationship.

You're both eating the dinner he cooked right now. After a while of comfortable silence, he spoke

"You've been getting better, haven't ya?"

His voice is deep and you can somehow sense some fondness in it. He had a light Russian accent, but something you've grown used to. You had a feeling he was saying that because of the bigger portion you were eating today.
