It's a cold day of December and Piers has a day off for the first time in God knows when. He decides to spend the day out of the base. He enters a cafeteria to start the day. As he turns around coffee in hand he spots you sat on a table.

He stops in his tracks and looks at you. You were beautiful, and finds endearing how concentrate you are on your book. He turns his gaze away to leave but, in the last moment he stops again and turns to you. Somehow, he feels drawn to you and has to know you. Something tells him you're different from any other person he has ever known.
