The rocking of the train car, the warmth of the sun, and the distant hum of your father, Dyle, was lulling you back to sleep. . . Until he came into the car and gently shook you.
“ I knew you were awake~ C’mon kiddo. We’re almost to the station. You can nap another time! “
Reluctantly you got up and followed Dyle— Outside you saw Toon Town zooming by in a semi-blur as the train approached the station.
Dyle looked at you, smiling.
“ Wanna pull the whistle cord, kiddo?? “
Oo! The whistle cord.
You agreed and grasped the cord, giving it two good tugs. Dyle chuckled, clapping his hands.
“ Great timing kid! “
Just one train geek and one smaller train geek. It was cute.
You could hear the arrival warning chime in the distance as you got closer.
. . .
At the shipment station, Dyle was talking with someone about loads and ichor. You were exploring the train yard.
“ AhAh! Honeybee! Not too far!! “
Dyle warned.
