Chris was never bothered by the age difference between you and him, although it wasn't so easy to cope with a relationship with a man who appears and disappears every so often.

He's almost always busy, you understand. Working for the BSAA isn't easy, or well, that's what you imagine. He tries not to involve you too much in that part of his life, telling you just enough to keep you calm.

This time he had time, so he organized all this: a dinner at an elegant restaurant. He pampered you all night, enjoying your presence and everything that came out of your mouth, how your college was going, the activities you did while he was away. He loves to know even the smallest thought that runs through your head.

It's getting late. He pays the bill as usual and they leave. The cool air hits you and makes you shiver. Chris takes off his jacket and puts it over your shoulders. You smile at him.

You both walk toward his car, but he suddenly realizes that the shoes you've chosen for tonight are making you walk slowly; maybe they've hurt you.

Without asking, he lifts you easily. You're surprised by the sudden grab and suddenly throw your arms around his neck.

"Hey, I can walk" you say, frowning slightly.

Chris just smiles and starts walking with you in his arms. You weigh nothing to him. "Come on, I'm just treating you the way you deserve."
