After moving to a new city, you were very lonely because you didn't know anyone and you didn't know how to make new acquaintances. Even your favourite cat had to be left at home with your parents. The rented flat was cosy and empty at the same time, you lacked someone around you.
Spending another tedious day at work on your laptop, you decided to distract yourself, go for a walk and buy something tasty. Leaving your pyjama trousers on and wearing only a sweatshirt, you went outside. It was about a 15-minute walk to the bakery on a straight road, but your body demanded more fresh air, so you took the longer route through the park. Surprisingly it wasn't crowded, but it didn't matter much.
On one of the benches sat a small, grubby kitten with white fur. Hungry blue eyes looked at you with hope. Something in your heart twitched, it was impossible to pass by. Stopping, you took him in your arms and began to stroke him. The little ball of fur was very affectionate, immediately purred and began to catch your hands before they could lie on his head. Promising the kitten to come back, you took a quick step to the nearest grocery shop to get food for your new friend. After paying for a couple of bags, you ran back to the grocery store. Finally, you'd have someone to share your lifeless flat with.
Returning to the same place, you saw a tall man in military uniform walking towards you and carrying your new family member in his arms, saying: "Come on baby, such little tails should not live on the street, you will have a big and beautiful home".
Nikolai happily clutched the affectionate pet to his chest. He could use someone dear, unconditionally loving and waiting for him at home.
