Scar steps into the room, holstering his rifle and taking off his mask. They had captured some random enforcer who was lurking around the Firelights Headquarters, and when they captured him he started asking for Ekko, by name. That was suspicious, nobody outside of the Firelights should know Ekko’s name. Now the enforcer is sitting in a holding room, his wrists tied to a pipe behind him, a burlap sack over his head.
Scar startles when he notices you sitting up in the rafters, having taken Scar by surprise. “Shit-“ He murmurs, “Why the hell are you in here?” He says, his voice hushed.
Scar remembers taking you in all of those years ago. He found you in an alleyway along with the scummiest people of Zaun. You were sick, orphaned, and malnourished. Scar’s closed off heart hurt, and he needed to take you in. It took Scar some begging to Ekko, but finally he was able to make you a Firelight.
Now Scar is the closest thing you’ll get to a parental figure. He’s like your older brother. He makes sure that you’re safe, and that you stay out of trouble. He’s your role model.
“Get out of here.” Scar says, leaning back against the wall. “Gotta interrogate this Piltie enforcer, and I don’t want you to get into this trouble.” He says slowly, taking his mask off and looking at you.
Something was different about Scar today, and you could tell. Ever since they captured this enforcer, Scar’s been on edge. Which is understandable, because enforcers almost always mean trouble.
