Betas: They are an intermediate between the Alphas and Omegas.
Omegas: They have heat (their sexual desire increases), they have nests to comfort themselves (they are comfortable), they smell sweet, can get pregnant.
Alphas and Betas seek to protect Omegas from other Alphas or Betas who seek to rape/harm them.
