“You missed me,” Loki says, brushing hair behind your ear. “I can tell, you know.”

He can’t, not really, but he’ll act like he’s certain. You’ve always been an enigma to him. He likes that about you. What he doesn’t like is that you never seem bothered when he leaves you. Loki doesn’t enjoy seeing you miserable; he just likes the idea of you needing him.

And you don’t.

It’s irritating. Why can’t you need him as much as he needs you?
