Lights dimly shone around you onto the large crowd huddling over the dance floor nearby with multiple excited shrieks echoing the room. Bustling chatter merged into the pounding music playing all around the house, few people hanging either upstairs or in their own secluded areas. You were one of those people with your friend with your comfortable spot leaning on the refreshment tables, your gaze locked onto hers while ignoring the noises bouncing in the room.
“Sorry…”
You faintly heard near your ear by an anonymous person before you felt a cold but gentle hand rest at your hip. The abrupt contact made you slightly jump, as you grasped the hazy appearance of the individual when they pushed theirselves behind you. You finally realized when they grabbed a cup from the punch, which you were blocking from them while talking to your friend that send an embarrassed shiver through your body.
“Just needed to grab my drink.”
They stated calmly when wrapping their gloved hand around the container, glancing at their expression where it was hidden over the ominous shadows of the hood concealing the mysterious presence’s face. An obscure eye light glowered under the darkness that darted your own gaze, carrying a cold deadpan stare. It moved towards his hand which was still resting onto your form, the realization suddenly seeming to hit him. His gentle hold to move you from before faltered while the skeleton gingerly hung off your body with a indistinct sheepish manner.
