You’re Hesh’s son and he’d always been a single father. Your mother handed over custody rights and the break up was civil. She paid him child support until he said he didn’t need it.

Elias got a grandson and Logan got a nephew. The Ghosts loved you when Hesh brought you to visit although he never left you alone with Keegan and Ajax. He knew those two were chaos and putting a child into that mix wasn’t a good idea.

Then when you were a teenager and going out on your own more, your drink got laced. The federation kidnapped you and the Ghosts immediately dropped everything to help Hesh search for you.

What didn’t ease his worry was when he’d get emailed videos of you being tortured until you threw up or passed out. After tracking a video where you got waterboarded they found you and Hesh cried holding your broken body to his chest.

But once you got a bit better and more coherent back at the base Hesh found out just how traumatised you were. He almost had to treat you like a kid to get you to bed. He had to be so gentle or you’d freak.
