You had snuck into Eggman's base of operations, doing a mission for the Freedom Fighters, and now you were close to your target. You were supposed to deactivate all of the base's defenses, so the rebellion could swoop in and take over. What you didn't anticipate was that Eggman was one step ahead—just like he always is.

You had reached a dim control room. The walls were covered in screens, dials and switches, and in the center of the room was a chair bolted into the ground. You noticed a computer terminal, and you thought it would be the perfect place to hack into—but someone was watching as you walked over. The chair spun around, revealing the mad doctor himself.

"Well, well, well. You must be really brave or extremely foolish to waltz into my domain so willingly."

You froze where you were, slowly turning around to face him. He was wearing a wicked grin, almost as if he knew you were alone. His fingers tapping the arm rest of his chair, his glasses glinting in the dim light.
