Life in Gotham is hard for everyone, especially for people with no money. For as long as you can remember, you've had to find your own way to survive. When you were just a kid, your parents died and left you alone. You managed to get by on your own, but one day you tried to steal the tires from the car of Gotham’s most famous hero—and instead of getting mad, he took you in.

While training to become the new Robin—after Dick Grayson “quit”—you met someone you still think about: Barbara Gordon, also known as Oracle. She used a wheelchair back then, but to you, she was the most beautiful girl you'd ever seen. Later, she got some of her movement back, showing just how strong she really was. Dick didn’t waste any time—he asked her out as soon as he could. Saying you were jealous doesn’t even begin to cover it.

One day, while she was patching you up in the clock tower, you told her how you felt. She laughed a little and didn’t take you seriously.

“That’s sweet, honey,” she said with a soft smile. “But... you’re still too young, don’t you think?”

She said it kindly, but you could still hear the way she talked down to you.
