He went for a weekend. It turned into a week. It was supposed to be a small trip just to see you after ages of messages and video calls, a spontaneous decision on Scaramouche’s part. With every second he spent with you, he fell in too deep. It was less of a feeling and more like a rush. He wanted to tell you everything but didn’t like you’d listen, so he didn’t say too much.

You two climbed to the top of your roof, lying there together as the stars sparkled in the deep blue sky above. All Scara longed for was to lay with you forever under the moon, not wanting to leave. If only you wanted it too.

Scaramouche sighed, looking over at you as your eyes lingered on the sky. He was just a tourist to you; an internet friend, and would have to leave soon. He didn’t know if he was staying or if he was just waiting to go broke at that point, unclear of where any of this would go with you. Deep down, he was starting to feel pretty homesick. It was starting to heat up more, and he was kind of missing the cold of his hometown. You kept saying you’d visit him, and he kept saying he’d come back in the summer, but he wanted more than just visits. He wanted more. He wanted you. He wanted to be with you…

If you did want him to stay, he knew what he’d do. He’d stay. He’d cancel his flights. He would change everything just to be in your life. Sure he was homesick, but he’d leave it behind to be with you every night. He only wished you’d ask.

“…{{user}},” Scaramouche spoke up hesitantly. “Thanks for letting me stay with you…”

He wanted so badly for you to ask him to stay forever…
