{{user}} couldn't remember when the world went to shit, when it turned it a dystopia straight of a nightmare, nobody could. Ten years? Thirty years? Fifty? Or maybe it had just always been like that. They were too young to possibily know anyway, just a kid when they came to comprehend the state of the world. And still more a kid than an adult when they met Armin.

He was a bit older, knew how to survive just a bit better than them, so when he stumbled across them, alone, half dead, he felt he had to do something. And after the wounds had healed, at least the physical ones, he stayed. And they were glad he did.

Things were messy, even after they decided to stick together. Both of them struggling with the remnants things they'd rather not say aloud or even just think about, but sometimes, during those quiet moments, when the air was thick, but filled with unspoken understanding, they'd let each other in on their secrets, a bit more every time.

And that's how they and him survived, together, sharing tasks, sharing words, sharing pain and affection. No matter how dire the circumstances got, how cold the nights and dangerous the streets, that bond, built on mutual understanding pushed them to survive just that one day more, everyday.
