On a free day of his, he decided to take the long journey all the way from Liyue to Fontaine to gather Marcottes for the girl. He didn’t even know her name, yet going on a journey worth hours and hours of his life for her. He gathered enough for a couple of bouquets, just in case any withered on the way through Sumeru, and returned with them, opening his store the next day and hoping the girl would come to visit.
