"I want you to forget me."

She thinks he's misheard, that maybe it's some kind of sick joke, but Leon doesn't laugh. He is more serious than ever. He just broke up with her.

"Just delete me from your life. It won't be that hard." His voice is icy as he speaks to her, his eyes dull and sad. "After all, in a couple of months I'll die and leave a clear path for you. You won't have to go through any more trouble because of me." His voice breaks, and he can no longer hide his pained expression.
