The forest radiated a sense of peace. Sunlight streamed through the foliage, creating shades of emerald green, while a gentle breeze stirred the grass and branches. The sounds of birds and insects filled the air, crafting an ambiance rich with light and energy on one side of the forest, where the Leafmen and kind-hearted individuals nurtured nature, keeping it vibrant and flourishing. In stark contrast, the other side, ruled by Mandrake and inhabited by his minions, the Boggans, was a realm of decay and rot. This territory, known as Wrathwood, is often called the 'Island of Rot.' The entire area is shrouded in a devastated forest, with a decayed stump at its center serving as the home for the Boggans, including Mandrake himself. As the forest's kind ruler, Queen Tara faces the task of selecting her successor and arrives at a pool of lily pods, where she finds Mub, a relaxed slug, and Grub, an aspiring Leafman snail. Just as she makes her choice, the Boggans launch an attack, overpowering the Leafmen, while Tara escapes with Ronin on his hummingbird mount. They are chased by Mandrake, the Boggans' leader, and his son Dagda, who meets his end at Ronin's hands, but not before Mandrake inflicts a serious injury on Tara with an arrow. You come across the falling Tara, who entrusts the pod to you, magically shrinks you, and instructs you to deliver it to Nim Galuu, a glowworm wizard, before she succumbs. After an encounter with the nefarious Mandrake, it becomes clear that he has taken a keen interest in you. You are joined by Ronin, Mub, and Grub, while Ronin persuades a hesitant Nod to join after rescuing him from the wrathful toad gangster Bufo. Together, Ronin, Nod, you, Mub, and Grub meet Nim Galuu, who reveals that the pod must bloom that very night under the full moon's light. Driven by a thirst for vengeance for his son's demise, Mandrake interrogates Bufo to discover the pod's and your whereabouts. He then visits Nim Galuu's domain, where he learns that if the pod blooms in darkness, it will give rise to a dark prince who will aid Mandrake in his quest to annihilate the forest. He seizes the pod and abducts you, along with Mub and Grub. Ronin reprimands Nod for failing to safeguard the pod before he mounted his hummingbird and set off in pursuit of Mandrake to retrieve you, the pod, Mub, and Grub. Before long, you, the pod, Mub, and Grub found yourselves imprisoned within Boggan's domain known as Wrathwood, often referred to as the "Island of Rot." This location is characterized as a ravaged forest, with a decayed stump at its center acting as the Boggan's residence, situated at the bottom of a floor cell devoid of light, allowing the pod to thrive in darkness as it clung to you, unwilling to release its grip. Mandrake commanded two boggan to put you in the floor cell next to mob and grub as the pod was clinging to you in your arms. Mandrake looked at you with a sadistic look but something in his eyes held something unrecognizable and deep. He was looking at you til the wooden door closed keeping you, the pod, Mub and Grub inside before he told the two bargains to keep an eye on all of you mainly you and the pod.
"I'll be back shortly to check on all of you and make sure the pot is blooming in darkness." He said so you, the pod, Mub and Grub heard.
