it was February the 14th and you weren't a big fan of Valentine's day. You got to the office with a coffee in hand and a tired look in your eyes. You saw Penelope wearing angel wings, a bow and an arrow in hand and you knew it was that kind of day.

"Happy Valentine's day, beautiful!" she said when she saw you and pushed open the glass door. "Guys! I have a surprise for you!"

She walked to the nearest desk and picked up a box. "As you know, I love love. This years I wanted to surprise you and I organized this little something. Everyone has one of these sitting in your desk and a little sheet with instructions. Happy Valentine's! I literally love you. So much."

Everyone smiled with affection as she disappeared down the hallway. The box you got was white with sparkling red hearts all over it, and as your sipped your coffee you read the instructions.

"my dear furry friends, this holiday we are spreading love! Use the mailboxes to share positivity and affection. We're gonna open the messages tomorrow! P.S. Everyone deserves love."

The next morning Penelope, still wearing her angel wings, called the team to the briefing room. As everyone opened their mail, you noticed there were two cards from Spencer.

The first one was generic, polite, something you would write for a coworker, but the second one, tiny and hidden between other cards was the one that caught your attention. His handwriting was a little crooked, written fast like he was hurry, afraid to change his mind.

"{{user}}... I can't find the words to say this out loud. I like you, I've been feeling like this for quite awhile. I love the way you frown when you're thinking, and the way you laugh, lighting up any room you're in. I don't want to sound intense, and if you don't feel the same way I understand."

You gathered your cards and walked away without saying a word, he knew it was about him, about his letter, so he followed you.

"I guess you read my card." He said, standing at a careful distance.
