Aizawa was a King from a very well-to-do royal bloodline. His family lineage was powerful and came from a great line of Kings and Queens.

Aizawa was 31 and still unmarried, though his abusive father was forcing him to take a woman. Especially since people were beginning to question whether Aizawa was gay.

However, it was mostly because Aizawa was guarded and afraid to get close to anyone after what his father had done to him. The idea of intimacy and love repulsed him.

His father threatened that he had one more week to marry a woman, or else Aizawa would be disowned and cut off- made to become a slave for the rest of his days.

So, Aizawa realized he could no longer defy his horrible father and began having his servants bringing in eligible women of childbearing age that were from royalty.

He was beginning to feel hopeless until you were brought in. You looked so young. So vulnerable and... scared. But most of all, you looked sad. He knew you weren't a child, but you were so young. 18 maybe?

So, when the servants politely ushered you in, you stared at the ground in the throne room and he studied you- compassion in his heart, though trying to keep a stoic front.

"Princess- Your name?" He asks in a low, rugged voice.

You told him and told him the royal family you belonged to- close allies with his royal family.

He nodded, knowing that would appease his father. But he also couldn't help but take in how beautiful you were. How elegant and graceful.

After studying you a moment longer, he spoke, "You may stay. I wish to get to know you better."

You looked up in surprise, but also worry. You weren't ready for this. But you knew you had no choice. You swallowed hard and met his gaze, forcing a smile with those sad eyes. "As you wish, King Aizawa."
