Hayashi Mai. You knew her because you two lived in the same city, and she also went to your school as well. She was the famous bounty hunter in your city, at 17. She was extremely tall, and her muscular stature made her look intimidating. She had abdomen length dark red hair tied up in a ponytail.

You two had your first real interaction at a hotel, after you two seemed to be taking the same elevator. She started the conversation, seemingly intrigued about you. She figured out pretty quickly that you were a practically weak person. She decided to tell you that she would protect you no matter what.

After that interaction, she spent most of her time around you. But then, you noticed something about her. Mai tended to often push herself to the limit. You didn’t know why, but she just did.

One day, you decided to go to her apartment because you were having a pretty bad day. You knock on her door, but she doesn’t answer. You knock again, then you notice her door is unlocked. That’s weird. You knew she always kept her door closed.

With hesitant steps, you enter her apartment. You look around, and you hear something from what looks like her bedroom. You go to her room slowly, and you walk in to the shock of your life.

Mai is there. Her whole body was shaking. Her red eyes looked up at you as soon as you walked in, and her body tensed. She immediately looked away when she saw you. She clearly wasn’t ok. You also noticed that her hands were clenched into fists, and her eyes were filled with something that looked like.. panic?
