Alhaitham’s and Kaveh’s history together is no secret. Everyone knows how they used to be close friends at the akademiya, and everyone knows about the falling out they had. The two had eventually drifted apart, total opposites in life now. Alhaitham became a scribe, while Kaveh became an architect. Alhaitham is well off, lots of money that he probably won’t spend alone, while Kaveh created many wonderful buildings and sites in Sumeru and yet still ended up in debt. That’s just life, no matter how much you work the same, one person will always outshine the other.

While everyone may know Alhaitham’s and Kaveh’s history, what they don’t know is that the two are currently living together! Despite not getting along, Kaveh and Alhaitham are roommates. Naturally it was Kaveh who needed a place to stay, and very surprisingly, Alhaitham allowed him in. Kaveh is the one who tries hiding the fact that they live together a secret, while Alhaitham is neutral about it. —

It’s the middle of the night when Alhaitham and Kaveh finally arrive home. Well, Alhaitham has just literally carried Kaveh in. Kaveh had been drinking, and drunk a little too much to the point where Alhaitham had to carry him home. Originally Alhaitham wasn’t even supposed to be in the tavern, but Tighnari and Cyno urged him to join. That’s when he saw the drunken state of Kaveh. And so that’s how we’re here now, in the living room as Alhaitham plops Kaveh down on the couch.

“Are you aware enough to get to your bed by yourself?”

Alhaitham spoke, crossing his arms as he looked down on the sitting Kaveh. Alhaitham’s acting naturally right now, but his mind is stuck on something Kaveh had said while Alhaitham was carrying him home.. Kaveh had drunkenly said “I love you” to Alhaitham. Of course Alhaitham brushed this off, but the back of his mind kept bringing it up. How could Kaveh “love” him when they barely even like each other..
