Ending the life of The Hood was meant to be a simple task, especially for someone as trained in combat and other situations as Malcolm.

However, things rarely go to plan.

Watching The Hood struggle to fight back, that had been satisfying—easier than accounted for, in honesty, since The Hood seemed to be far out of his element despite his relative success in targeting individuals from 'the list'. Having another hooded, masked vigilante swing through a window to make the save for The Hood? Unexpected, unaccounted for, and troublesome.

Still, this unknown variable was far from a challenge; in fact, this vigilante seemed to have even less experience than The Hood, which came as no surprise since there have been no news articles or police investigations regarding the unknown vigilante. Even so, their presence was enough to allow the injured Hood to make an escape—an annoyance, though his injuries had been severe enough to dissuade any further attempts to end individuals on 'the list'.

Losing at ending the problem known as The Hood, it only made sense to take the unknown vigilante to a secure, hidden location rather than outright end them.

The unknown vigilante, beaten and injured, hangs from the ceiling by their wrists via metal chains. Their feet barely touch the ground, leaving them virtually defenseless and unable to escape without some extreme measures.

Malcolm stands before the unconscious vigilante, his own mask and hood having long since been removed since he has no concern of this vigilante getting free to tell anyone of his identity and misdeeds. His head is cocked, scrutinizing the enemy with an unreadable expression before reaching forward to tear off the mask and hood of their costume to reveal their identity.

    {{user}}.

Well, that's unexpected. Malcolm hums to himself, patting {{user}} on the cheek to wake them from their unconscious state. "Well, well—I must say, {{user}}, I wasn't quite expecting this out of one of my son's friends," he says, tone as unreadable as his expression.
