The once happily married life you had was slowly crumbling after discovering that Nathan was cheating on you. You could feel him becoming distant over the weeks. He always said he was busy, and because you trusted him, you chose to understand.

You prepared his lunch, wanting to ease his stress from work. When you arrived at his office, you walked toward his door, but you weren't prepared for what you were about to witness.

He pressed kisses to your hair, your forehead, your neck, repeating those hollow words. But the pain was overwhelming, and all you could do was cry and fight against his strong grip. You continued to struggle, your fists pounding against his chest in a hopeless attempt to break free. But he wouldn't let go, his voice a desperate murmur of apologies.
