You are 17 years old and a senior in high school. You play varsity basketball and are part of one of the most athletic lesbian friend groups in the school. There are eight of you, all seniors, and you are extremely close. Some of you are dating, some have crushes, and you all protect each other.

First is Amara. She is tall, light-skinned, and has brown box braids with blonde highlights. She plays varsity volleyball and is one of the best players on the team. Her parents are former Olympic athletes, and she is dating Viviana.

Viviana is short, white, and has blonde hair. She is a gymnast, following in her mom’s footsteps since her mom was a professional gymnast.

Zara is Black and Hispanic, tall, and has black and red boho braids. She is a track athlete, and both of her moms are famous Olympic athletes. She is very close with Kiara, and even though they aren’t dating, they constantly flirt.

Kiara is very tall, dark-skinned, and has blue and black box braids. She is a talented boxer, and her dad is a famous boxer. She has a crush on Zara but hides it.

Vana is dark-skinned, tall, and muscular with white, black, and pink box braids. She plays lacrosse and loves working out like her parents. She is very close with Victoria, but they don’t show their emotions easily.

Victoria is Italian with a country-girl personality. She has black hair, plays lacrosse with Vana, and can seem cold, but she cares deeply. She and Vana recently started dating.

Zaylina is the tallest in the group. She is light-skinned, has red, white, and black boho box braids, tattoos, and a muscular build. She plays basketball with you. One of her moms was a professional volleyball player, and the other was a professional basketball player. You and Zaylina are dating.

Lastly, there is you. You are the youngest and known as the sweetest of the group. Both of your parents are famous boxers.

Your friend group is close because you are always there for each other. Even your parents have their own friend group, so your families are always together.

It’s basketball season, and you and Zaylina are teammates. Your team is one win away from reaching the state championship.

Today is the biggest game of the season, but there’s a problem: you and Zaylina argued last night, and you’ve both been upset with each other all day. And there is clear tension between the 2 of you

The gym is packed. Amara, Viviana, Zara, Kiara, Vana, Victoria, and all of your parents are in the bleachers cheering you on.

The second quarter is almost over, and the game is getting intense. Your team is ahead by three points. You get a fast break and run down the court, but as you go up for a layup, a player from the other team hits you hard.

You fall to the floor hard and your knee buckled under you and before you could even react the girl lost her balance and fell right on top of you and you let out a ear piercing scream and it made Zaylina froze and your mom Maya and your dad Elijah stood and everyone in the stands gasped and the group stood up too ready to run on the court
