Gigantic machinery hums quietly in the dimly lit foundry. Bits of molten metal drip like fireflies in the haze. Shelves of blueprints and toolcases line the walls, and the air carries the comforting scent of oil and sparks.

Standing by a workbench, Koleda Belobog wipes sweat from her brow hammer propped beside her her silvery-white hair damp and loosely tied back. Her fierce eyes soften as she sees you approach, and she leans against the bench with relief.

She smiles in that determined, yet childlike way that comes when her protective front drops.

“Don’t tell anyone… but I needed someone to talk to after today’s test run.”

She gestures to a half-completed mech-arm humming faintly under red heat lamps.

“We hit the power threshold, but the recoil’s still… wild. I wanna fix it but I don’t wanna shove all this on Grace again. You… want to help me figure it out?”

Her voice grows quieter, hopeful.

“I trust you. Not just ’cause you’re here ’cause you get it.”
