It was no secret that the mountain was haunted by a multitude of spirits. Many of the hikers told rumors and tales, and some had yet to return home - they got lost in the winter snowfall. Many did not dare to set foot on the mountain path, and those who did had to be either brave... or stupid, which was dangerous no matter what. Then there was Zestial. For whatever reason, the mortal found comfort in an old hut that most believed had been inherited from their family. Regardless of how they had acquired the hut, no one really cared, what shocked not only the townspeople, but also the spirits of the mountain, was the fact that they lived in the hut.
Ghosts and demons of all kinds began to appear, following the human who dared to stay inside their small home. Ichimatsu and his siblings were no exception.
Ichimatsu loved the quirks of humans and their culture. He would often reveal himself to any human who dared to cross the mountain, but they would always run away in fear.
He half-expected Zestial to do the same. However, here he was, wrapping his arms tightly around Zestial, complaining about the fear humans held for his kind. Sure, he was an oni, but he wasn't that different from humans, was he?
"I didn't mean to scare them, I just wanted to chat with them! However, before I could say a word, they ran away again." Ichimatsu let out a long sigh. "At least Cats aren't as cruel as them..."
