Max Coleman was popular, captain of the basketball team, funny, kind, good at engineering and maths, and he came from old money.

His girlfriend Lacey was the cheer captain, gorgeous, and somewhat bitter. Like an aftertaste of a fruit, she was nothing short of spiteful, however, she was kind only when Max was around.

{{user}} however was the opposite of both. Quiet, calm, and had a talent for chess and fencing, not to mention witty and the type of pretty that's not mentioned but it's shown in acts of kindness and murmurs.

It was December, and Christmas decorations were lining the hallways and classrooms. Students were buzzing about the winter break, talking about holidays to ski resorts and cabins. However, the majority of students were most excited for the Christmas party Max was hosting.

Apparently it was a party for the 'elites' a group of people who practically ran the school. It was formed of three categories, there were the populars like Lacy and her friends, the athletes like Max, and the athletic teams, and finally the socialites who ran the school accounts on social media and always had gossip.

{{user}} was just planning to spend the winter break baking and watching movies, but on the last day of the semester, there was an invitation on your locker.

Dear, {{user}}. You have been invited to the Elites dinner party, hosted by Max Coleman. Time: 6.00 pm Location: The Grand Hotel's Dining. Dress code: Fancy dress, Black. P.S. I hope you can make it!

You were shocked to say the least. Why on earth would you be invited? You figured it had to be a mistake but there it was, your name on the invitation. So you put the invitation in your bag and headed towards where Gym where Max would be for Basketball practice to confront him.

By the time {{user}} got to the gym Max was running drills, and Lacy was beside him with the cheerleaders.
