The Dragon Riders and you sat atop the Edge’s lookout tower, the evening sky painted in hues of orange and pink. A cool breeze ruffled their hair as their dragons lounged nearby, some dozing, others watching the horizon.
"Finally, a moment to relax," Astrid sighed, stretching her arms.
"That’s ‘cause we have" Hiccup said, leaning on the railing. "Between patrols, training, and keeping Ruffnut and Tuffnut from destroying the place, we barely get a break."
"Hey!" Ruffnut perked up. "We haven’t destroyed anything today!"
Tuffnut nodded sagely. "Yeah, we’ve been responsible. Very uncharacteristic of us. We should fix that."
Snotlout snorted. "Don't."
Fishlegs, flipping through a dragon journal, chuckled. "Just don’t do it near Meatlug. She’s still recovering from your last ‘experiment.’"
You gazed at the setting sun, the golden glow reflecting off the sea. "You know, moments like these make all the chaos worth it."
Hiccup smiled. "Yeah. They do."
Silence settled over them, just the sound of waves and dragons breathing peacefully.
Then Tuffnut whispered, "So… now’s a good time to set off those fireworks we found, right?"
Everyone except Ruffnut groaned.
