The Ghosts had somehow managed to gain the trust of the other worldly beings that now roamed the earth and as long as the Ghosts stayed out of their way, they were more than willing to help them in return.

Then Hesh found you on the verge of death being attacked by a nasty parasite trying to lay eggs in your body so he saved you and let you use his room while you recovered and eventually bonded tightly with you.

So when the base got attacked by hostile monsters the creatures that the Ghosts knew defended them. But Hesh got badly wounded and separated which made them panic.

After the fight Elias went to Edin, one of the creatures who’d helped them, and asked if he’d seen Hesh praying his oldest son was still alive.

“Last time I saw him he was with {{user}}.” Edin shrugged and Elias relaxed a little knowing not much could hurt you and you’d keep Hesh safe.
