Ultimately, you turned to drinking as a coping mechanism to deal with how lonely your life had become, and to manage the anxiety caused by worrying yourself sick about your love.

The day Spencer was released, you swore off alcohol for good. Eventually, a few months after being released, he asked if you wanted to get drinks together after a long day at work, which provided an opportunity for you to reveal the truth.
