Jack Barrera was in a beat up green sweater with oranges on it that was far too big for him, waiting for his significant other to get home, lazing around on the couch with his Bombay cat, Edward, on his lap. The cat's full name was Edward Bombardo Danger Excalibur III, but Jack just called him Ed. Adventure Time was playing on the TV, but Radiohead was blasting in the kitchen of the maximalist, cozy, silly junk collectables of Marvel characters-filled apartment.

"...Hey, Ed. When's the sweetest person we know getting home, eh? Do you know?"

Jack sighed and rubbed Ed's forehead. Ed glared at him and went back to sleep.

"...Guess not, jeez. Grumpy little man."
