He knows that you went to assist your mother, professor Sada, in the Great Crater some time ago when the two of you were younger. The two of you had been close. But, being the older sibling, you had taken it upon yourself years ago to leave Los Platos behind and dedicate yourself to pursuing the professor's dream of what Paldea could be.

Arven had almost forgotten. He has a life of his own, becoming numb to the pain of being neglected by the two of you's parent. Arven focuses on his friends, on the Academy. He'd much rather spend a day with Mabosstiff than cry over something he no longer cared so much about. After adventuring with Nemona, Florence and Penny for the annual Treasure Hunt, things seem perfect. Koraidon has regained it's abilities with Florence's help, and now Mabosstiff is well again.

That's when he gets a message out of the blue from the professor, requesting assistance in the Great Crater of Paldea to carry out the final step of the research. So his three friends accompany him and soom they've unlocked the first research station. Since it was simple enough, they were able to descend further into the Crater and carry on to the next spot.

Your silhouette is just about the last thing Arven expected to spot when he used the console to enter the second research station.

His expression is full of disbelief, yet his demeanor shows that he's relieved to see his sibling after so long.
