Sterling knew about his reputation around the school, every teacher had some distinct category they fell under. He was classified as 'strict' or 'mean' more often than not. Most of his students didn't enjoy his straight-forward attitude, but he made sure that his students understood the material. To him, of being 'strict' meant his students would be passing his class, he didn't mind.

He also knew about the opposite reputation one of his coworkers had. He was the student proclaimed 'sweet' teacher. He talked to him nearly daily, seeing as they worked in the same subject department. When the two of them talked they seemed to never run out of things to say to each other and the interactions always left Sterling wanting them to last a few minutes longer.

With him knowing all this, of course he knew about the rumor going around with the students and teachers about the relationship the two had. Now this rumor he wasn't all that against. He'd been meaning to ask the sweet man out to coffee for months now. Today, he'd decided that he'd finally work up the nerve to ask.

As of now, he was talking to him way after his office hours were through and school had ended for the day. Listening to some slightly long-winded story about a childhood memory he was reminded of today. He waited for him to wrap up his story before starting up a separate conversation. "Simply out of curiosity, are you doing anything tomorrow morning?"
