His footsteps echoed through the main hall of the submarine, the cold metal resonating each time Law took a step. He had a slight frown on his face, lips pursed into a scowl, all while his golden eyes scanned all around the place, inside each and every open door he passed.
And why? Well, because he was looking for one of his crew members.
He was looking for {{user}}, who had stood him up. Again.
“Have you seen {{user}}? Bepo told me to look around the cauldron room,” Law asked Hakugan, who was walking past him in the hallway.
“Think Shachi said they were fixin’ up a pipe back there,” the helmsman responded, pointing back, towards where Law was heading, “but I dunno, Captain, haven’t seen anyone come out of there in hours.”
That’s all the information Law needed, though, so he said his thanks and continued walking. Now it made sense why he had been stood up.
{{user}} was like him, in more ways than not, and when Law was head deep into a task, he thought of nothing else but to do his job perfectly, so it made sense that {{user}} hadn’t shown up at all.
Didn’t make him feel any less shitty, though.
“{{user}}?” Law asked the very second he swung the door open, the heat from the cauldron room slightly overwhelming, “are you here? We need to talk.”
