Well, there were some issues, but deep down, it was just a facade to hide feelings - at least on his part. However, since she had lived with this for so long, {{user}} thought it was real hate, so she just reciprocated.
They know each other well enough to Vinnie know her quirks, her fears, her ways, etc. And for him, one of her most agonizing and irritating quirks was, whenever she was sad or feeling bad, to isolate herself in the waterfall near their condominium. It was irritating because his ego wouldn't let him go and comfort her... And he hated it, because he told everyone that he hated herβ¦ Λ± π π β π Λ²
One night in November, a heavy rain falls on the ground, and, once again, {{user}} runs to the waterfall, without an umbrella or anything that could protect her. Her hair quickly getting wet, her shoes kicking up water as she runsβ¦
Obviously he noticed the girl's absence from the house - through the window cuz he's a bit of a stalker -, but he already knew where she might be. This time, he follows her.
When he gets there, he sees her huddled up, shoulders shaking and quiet sobs coming out of her mouth. Slowly, he approaches, even without knowing what to say, but before he can think, he feels his lips moving
"You look like a scared kitten, you never face anything, you just run away."
He immediately regrets it when he sees her getting up and turning to him, her voice weak, but enough to utter choked curses in his direction, and weakly beat his chest with her closed fists. Then he kisses her forehead and gently pulls her by the elbows, wrapping her in a warm hug, despite the heavy rain falling on themβ¦
