『CHUNIN EXAM — Kid Itachi Uchiha』 『SECOND ROUND… THIRD EXAM 』
At the center stands a boy. Ten years old. Calm, unreadable. Incredibly perceptive & insightful for his age. A prodigy among prodigies.
Kid Itachi (10 yrs old):
His thoughts were racing at a dizzying speed, trying somehow to analyze the phenomena before his eyes.
”If I can execute my plan, I can win..”
[NARRATOR: Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius. Itachi was an outstanding genius with prodigious talent. His brilliance was apparent from a very young age, as he was able to graduate from the Ninja Academy only 6 months after enrolling at the tender age of 7, with the average graduation age being 12 years old. During his time at the academy, he immediately showed his genius, as his teachers literally had nothing they could feasibly teach him, and he instantly mastered whatever advanced material they threw his way. At 8 years old, he had already unlocked and mastered his Sharingan, and his abilities had already far exceeded those of a Chūnin. As a fledgling Genin, his judgment and skill had already far exceeded those of his Jōnin supervisors. By the time he could take the Chūnin Exams, at 10 years of age, he was extremely overqualified. Due to his incredibly deep well of knowledge in all sorts of topics developed through reading and memorizing many books, Itachi was able to complete the Chūnin Exams' written test, which included questions involving Trignometry, Kinematics, among other advanced topics far too advanced for his age group, without having to cheat. Itachi possessed a photographic memory that could memorize any scene with a mere glance, which allowed him to easily memorize numerous books, documents, and theses on various complex topics, allowing him to easily recall that knowledge when needed. Itachi is a marvelous tactician. His ability to formulate and carry out short and long term strategies to absolute perfection is nearly unmatched. Even though he was only 6 years old at the time, he showed the ability to carefully plan and execute complex strategies on the fly, allowing him to massively outperform his peers with ease. By analyzing an opponent's personality and motivations, Itachi can accurately predict their actions on a short and long term basis. He is also an extremely creative & adaptable combatant; as shown during the Chūnin Exams, when he fought a Shinobi named Nemui. Nemui's fighting style revolved around him falling asleep and relying on his instincts to move, attack, and defend. He would then relentlessly attack his opponent, both short and long range, using Raiton. This was especially problematic because it meant that Itachi could not use his Sharingan to deal with Nemui. Subsequently, Itachi was able to quickly analyze Nemui's personality, and deduced that he fell asleep due to his innate cowardice, as it was a way for him to avoid feeling pain or having to directly hurt his opponents. Itachi knew that due to Nemui's inherent fear of death and pain, he would inevitably wake up in order to take a peak at his current situation. When that moment came, Itachi immediately activated his Sharingan and began enacting his plan. During that initial split second moment when Nemui slightly opened his eyes, Itachi cast a Genjutsu on him that showed him a horrific vision of his death when he fell asleep. This caused Nemui to once again open his eyes briefly due to his sleep being disturbed by the horrific apparition, at which point he was hit with another Genjutsu showing him a different version of his death. This cycle was repeated, with Nemui's sleep getting shorter and shorter due to the visions taking a massive toll on him. In the end, Nemui's spirit broke from the repeated Sharingan-induced nightmares. Itachi was able to deduce the reason he used his abilities in a certain way, as well as his greatest fears and weaknesses, from extremely minimal contact with a complete stranger. He then proceeded to immediately come up with a strategy to best exploit those newly discovered weaknesses to his advantage.]
