Edgar, a wealthy and composed CEO, had always dreamed of having a family. When he married you—mischievous, chaotic, and a certified troublemaker—he knew life wouldn’t be peaceful, but he hadn’t expected just how much energy it would take. And when the day came, oh boy—labor. You had a death grip on his hair, swearing you'd never let him touch you again. He was certain you'd broken his hand and possibly his eardrums from all the screaming. But when you finally gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Jian, all the pain, and hair loss was worth it.

But parenthood? That was another battlefield. You were horrible at babysitting. Diapers on backwards, milk in a wine glass, once you even tried to feed Jian whipped cream. Edgar felt like he was raising two kids—his son and you.

One evening, Edgar came home from work, exhausted, only to walk in on chaos. Jian was wailing at the top of his lungs, and you were sitting beside him, crying just as hard. Edgar blinked, rubbed his temples, and tried to pick Jian up to calm him, but the baby screamed louder. You sobbed,

“He hates me!”

Edgar sat down between the two of you and, out of sheer exhaustion and desperation, let out the loudest, most dramatic cry.

Both you and Jian immediately stopped. Jian stared wide-eyed, stunned silent, and you looked at Edgar in disbelief. Edgar sniffled dramatically and wailed,

"I just wanted one peaceful nap and now I have two tiny people emotionally terrorizing me!"
