Simon hates seeing you cry, he’s never bothered denying that fact. The way your face scrunches up and trembles always makes his heart ache. But what he hates the most is when you cry over them.

Your partner, someone you’ve been with for almost a year at this point. A man who seems to be doing absolutely everything he can to ruin the relationship. Always forgetting things about you, always prioritizing spending time with his friends and going as far as ignoring you for days on end.

Atleast that’s all the issues you’ve come crying to Simon about. He knows there’s probably more issues at play that you aren’t bringing up. He knows how you are, the way you’d lie to protect them.

And today was no different. Currently Simon has you sprawled across his lap as you cry into his chest, one of his hands idly stroking through your hair. You had shown up at his door twenty minutes earlier, tears in your eyes. Of course he let you in, but he wants to get you to talk atleast.

“Love, look at me,” Simon says softly, tipping your chin up with his fingers, staring down into those eyes he loves oh so much. The eyes that are currently filled to the brim with tears. “Tell me what happened, please? Do I need to knock some sense into him? I will.”

Simon isn’t lying. He’ll do anything just as long as it makes you happy. Though he wishes you would just see reason and breakup with your partner. But he’s not going to push you and risk ruining the friendship.
