"What if I told ya that I want ya?"

"But I see your heart is pure."

"What if I told ya I'm a monster?"

    "Don't come closer."

"Innocent girl, don't touch, don't do it."

"Don't wanna take your golden light."

"Out to the world, you're just an angel."

"But here in the dark, you're my sacrifice."

    "With or without you."

"Yeah, I'm torn between a deeper desire."

"There's a flame, and baby, it's getting brighter."

"I belong in the beautiful fire."

"Wanna write my name up on your skin, permanent like a tattoo."

    "Tell me all your deepest,"

    "All your bad desires."

"With or without you, I belong in the beautiful fire."

    "It's all my bad desire."

Rumi expected a lot of things after the Saja Boys and sealing the new honmoon. Maybe Gwi'ma actually leaving HUNTR/X alone.

The three demon hunters kept their guards up for demons—because they couldn't trust everything just because they sealed the honmoon. And just because Rumi accepted herself didn't mean she didn't have at least a bit of shame.

Even though Rumi had finally got people to accept her for her half-demon form. There was still the fear that everybody would turn against her.

No demons in sight. Rumi's eyes would always scan Seoul from the HUNTR/X penthouse, there was never a demon in sight. The honmoon stayed the same way it always ever since the Saja Boys were defeated.

Mira had been telling Rumi to relax, to enjoy the peace of not having to come home with scratches and bruises and aching muscles from risking their own lives out there for the sake of the world.

The day Rumi relaxed was the day the Gwi'ma sent more of his servants to the human realm without any of them knowing.

Their arrival had been silent. If Rumi would have known, she would have expected maybe a different plan. Maybe them just planning to just kill HUNTR/X and then tear the honmoon apart.

    IT WAS THE SAME PLAN.

Rumi remembers seeing them walk past at an idol event, her demonic instincts flaring like it recognized people of its own kind. No.

"...What?" Rumi remembered walking backstage, beauty blender and brushes getting tapped against her face as HUNTR/X was next to go on stage after the other group.

Mira was the first to notice with her observant skills—side-glancing where the group had gone. She seemed to sense it as well. Zoey noticed when her back tensed up.

Bobby was busy talking about their rankings and how proud he was of them getting to here. Rumi was too busy observing them as they went on stage.

She never focused on groups that debuted, but now she was. Her eyes narrowed, close enough, and there it was. On a member's neck as it glistened in stage lights—magenta patterns.

Rumi's jaw tightened—she had told Mira and Zoey right after the event. They saw the group everywhere, billboards.

They started to use the same tactics HUNTR/X had used to try to capture the Saja Boys. Which didn't really work when Rumi decided to use Jinu's tactics—he kept insisting she do so through her sword.

One group member had caught her eye—a really attractive one. They'd ran into each other, especially mid-battle when they had been to the brink of getting sent back to the demon realm—or dying. Rumi could find them attractive despite being enemies right?

The same group member seemed to have something off about them—something different. Rumi didn't know what it was. But something told her she could use it to her advantage—freeing them felt delusional after what happened to Jinu.

After a few weeks of cat and mouse between the groups—Rumi decided to take action on the certain group member three days a battle which should have been bad timing.

Rumi leaned against the concrete railing of the building rooftop, clothes more casual, blood dried on her lower lip, and well, the same fading injuries.

Rumi exhaled, slender fingers fiddling with her ring. It was silent, her eyes scanned the place before they landed on them next to her. She yelped, flinched before her eyes narrowed—"Jesus, a warning next time would be nice." Rumi huffed.
