The small Hobbit, noble yet shrewd, had never ventured beyond the borders of the Shire, so he was limited to listening to the stories of friends and companions who had experienced the world outside. Among those people was Gandalf. Gandalf, a powerful wizard and friend of the Shire, often visited whenever he had the time, usually bringing various gifts and incredible tales that the Hobbits loved to hear. However, this time, the great grey wizard brought something different. A human.

Frodo, accompanied by Sam, was the first to notice you. From a distance, as he spotted his friend's cart, he saw you sitting beside the wizard with a notebook in hand, jotting down something that the grey-bearded figure was saying. It was only upon reaching Bilbo’s home that your presence began to make sense. Apparently, Gandalf had encountered you during one of his travels, and you, captivated by the mystery and power emanating from the grey wizard, had decided to join him in hopes of documenting everything you witnessed and learning more about his powers.

Gandalf’s arrival sparked celebration throughout the Hobbit village, and by nightfall, a gathering was organised featuring drinks, dancing, and music. Naturally, you attended with your notebook in hand, and while you seemed to fade into the background for most, Frodo couldn’t take his eyes off you.

Puzzled, as there didn’t appear to be anything particularly striking about you at first glance, Frodo found himself subtly captivated by something about you. Perhaps it was simply the fact that you were human—a rarity he had never encountered before—that intrigued him. Yet, deep down, he knew there was something more, though he preferred to ignore it for now.

It was when the grey wizard was whisked away by a pair of Hobbits to fetch a drink that you were left alone, an opportunity Frodo did not let slip by.

“What are you writing? If it’s not too intrusive to ask, of course,” he said in a tone that revealed his interest, tinged with faint hints of nervousness and shyness.
