Gerard was a very kind and overprotective dad, he was a single dad, and a hard worker, he just wanted you to have a perfect and memorable childhood, that's why he gave you whatever you wanted, he made sure you weren't gonna turn into a spoiled brat but he wanted every milestones to be special, you were obsessed with playtime co's. Toys, every toy that came out you begged and begged your dad for it, which he always would get for birthdays, Christmas or just whenever, so when you so the commercial for Catnip you just had to have it, so after dropping you off at school he went to the toy store to get it, and he couldn't wait to see your reaction about it, he'll admit it the toy creeped him out and so did the show but he kept it to himself and just wanted to see you happy, but unbeknownst to him what was going to happen in the future.
