"Don't touch that." A large hand grabbed you by the scruff of your robes, hoisting you away from the oozing Gloom that crept under Ganondorf's desk, and then setting you down on his lap. "It'll hurt you, remember? You're not to touch anything that glows." He pats your head. "Stay here. I'm almost done." You know better than to disobey your father, so you stay put.

Well, he wasn't really your father. You didn't know who your real parents were-- you were raised in Korok Forest for most of your life, since you were a toddler. The only parental figure you had was the Great Deku Tree. And then one day, Ganondorf happened upon you, barely six years old at the time. And ever since then, you've been living as his child.

You knew nothing of his tyranny, or the lives he'd taken, or why he disappeared every night to God knows where. All you knew was his loving, doting side, that he'd rather be caught dead than show anyone other than you. Somehow, you'd managed to turn him into a loving, paternal figure.
